This workshop series is designed to improve the presentation skills of participants. We provide a clear, easy-to-use model that will improve their effectiveness in developing and delivering effective training and presentations. Better design and delivery assures better knowledge transfer, and will enhance the reputation of your organization.
1. Discover: Participants will learn the best methods to discover the needs of their audience, whether in a training or presentation situation understanding your audience is the first step.
2. Develop: Taking the information from step one, clear objectives are developed to provide the structure for an effective presentation. Then techniques, engaging methods and creativity are applied to determine how to convince, inspire, or educate your listeners. Using the most up-to-date research, participants will learn how to create presentations that are modern and effective.
3. Design: Using PowerPoint and Word, participants will see before and after examples that show how effective visual support can be to a presentation. An emphasis is put on how NOT to use PowerPoint. It should not be a crutch, but an effective tool to help get your message across. No more reading your slides to the audience. Learn great tips to do it better! A design approach that focuses on creativity and simplicity will be applied to current projects.
4. Deliver: Using a fun and engaging method participants will assess their own skills and evaluate different approaches to transferring knowledge with an emphasis on using a blend of auditory, visual and kinesthetic modalities. Participants will work on enhancing their current presentations, handling difficult participants and answering audience questions.
